Stricter body-piercing law takes aim at teenagers

Betty Callahan sees teenagers trying to get body piercings all the time, and she’s not afraid to turn them down.

Callahan’s shop, Bodily Charm Tattoo and Piercing in Utica, requires customers younger than 18 to be accompanied by a guardian. Both need to show ID and proof of the guardianship. And Callahan said most young customers think that’s a pain.
